Loves to Travel
& Loves Photography
…though, Works Too Much!

Tamra Dempsey has spent decades at the intersection of art and industry. She is currently the President of Workbook Creative, Inc., where she supports photographers, illustrators, and visual artists through curated directories, printed and online resources, and community-focused platforms that elevate creative careers.

As a fine art photographer herself, she finds wonder in both the quiet and the grand — from the whisper of trees along a country road to the sculpted lines of mountains rising against the sky. Her imagery is rooted in place and emotion, exploring how light, texture, and history come together to tell subtle stories without saying a word.

Tamra’s work has been featured in traveling exhibitions such as Trees and the Muscled Mountains—The World In Mind, where her prints — from contemplative landscapes to evocative architectural studies — invite viewers to slow down and see familiar beauty anew. She is also widely recognized for her photography in A Journey Through Literary America, a richly illustrated book that pairs evocative images with the landscapes and locales that inspired some of the nation’s greatest authors.

Her passion for imagery began with formal study — Tamra earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the Brooks Institute — and has taken her around the world to document lives, places, and moments that resonate far beyond the frame.

Tamra’s work has a gentle confidence: a belief that an image can be both beautiful and meaningful, serious and light, quiet and evocative. Whether she’s making a personal print, crafting a collection, or championing other artists in the creative community, she approaches photography with curiosity, heart, and a light touch.
